Yeah, I lost one and it's gone forever. We finally figured out what the last pictures taken were and where I went after I took them and decided that it was stolen from the console of my car at the carwash. Banditos! The whole crew gets inside the car to do the windows and dash and stuff. And apparently steal valuable things. It took a couple of days to figure this out for sure, but it was too late to do anything about it by then.

No, I learned my lesson the hard way. I have lost some valuable film cameras, though. One was stolen from luggage. The other I left on an airplane seat when I got off the plane. Someone distracted me, possibly for the purpose of stealing my camera. Now I keep my camera with me, with the strap wrapped around my wrist when I travel.
All I can say is retrace your steps since the last time you can remember having it with you. If you lost it away from home, someone else might have it by now. Hopefully they are the honest sort. Good luck!

Most Kodak cameras are fairly inexpensive and do not have the camera serial number printed on the packaging. However, it's worth checking if you still have the box. The serial number is your camera's unique identifier. Besides the photos on the memory card, your camera has a small amount of memory built into it. A careless thief might remove or erase the memory card but forget to erase the small number of photos on the camera's native memory that would allow you to identify it as yours.

I have never lost it. It is too big an investment to just casually lose. If I don't see it the only possibilities are in the house or the car. Maybe someone was cleaning up and put it in a closet.
I did have an idiot relative who was visiting once pick it up (for no good reason) and then fumble-drop it onto a concrete driveway.

Mine was stolen by relatives of my ex-boyfriend, along with a diamond and gold watch my grandparents gave me when I graduated high school.
