I would try to hold off until after the Holidays if you can.Once things settle down, sit your mom down and tell her your reasons why you feel you need to see a psychologist etc.

Tell her AFTER Christmas. No one, including you, needs all sorts of drama to ruin Christmas.

unless you already have an appointment tell her after christmas.. if you don't have an appointment wait until after the new year because you wont be gettin one anytime soon. those types of drs are very busy this time of year due to seasonal depression and attempted suicides over the holidays.. so you as a "new patient" wont happen until feb. unless you have kasier which they aren't real head drs anyway.. good luck to you!!!

what makes you think it would ruin your moms xmas? if you are close or living together at home i am sure she notices your problems or worries and would be happy that you are aware and are ready to seek help.it may be a xmas present to her! the best thing a parent can wish for is that their children are happy.they arent perfect either life can be s**t for them too you know.

You tell her when you feel you need to, but the sooner the better.

Take the time when things are quiet, you are alone with her and you can say to her you really need to tell her something important.
