OK here goes. love the head board and dresser and could live with the sheets. however, things are getting a little confusing with the drapes and the desk. I know desks are expensive but the one you have chosen just looks too cheap compared to the other items in the room. try to find a desk that matches the dresser and bit the bullet, you'll be glad you did. as for the drapes, they seem out of step with the other items you have chosen. consider using the roman shades in the drapery picture and a simple valance across the top. I don't mean to bum you out but your room as you have presented is looking a bit "matchy matchy". i realise the how tempting black is, i fight the same temptation all the time. consider going with darker stained wood tones that read as black. will this room have any area rugs? If so, buy them first and use the rug for the color palet in the room. hope Ive been some help.

The color of the curtains is heavenly! I've been thinking about "Tiffany" blue for our bedroom and I think I like your color choice even better. I would pick a bedspread that matches your curtains and use pattern in the pillows instead of the bedspread you've chosen.
I like the bed but I love to read in bed and prefer a more comfortable headboard but that's just personal preference. I would ground the headboard by having side tables that are similar to the dresser. Try to add some other wrought iron accents elsewhere to repeat the iron bed, maybe lamps or candle sconces. I LOVE the dresser. You're going to have a lovely room, I can tell! Oops, forgot about the desk! I'm not crazy about it but I understand it's practicality. Try to find something a bit more furniture like. Maybe a armoire or drop-down desk. Here's an example of the kind of desk I was thinking about(unfortunately it's out of stock) http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-0675984-5372123?ASIN=B0002MQMRG&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B0002MQMRG|Corner_Computer_Desk_--_Ebony&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B0002MQMRG&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 The hutch comes separately and I would get it too. Making use of vertical space is always good for an office.

I like the furniture pieces and the curtains. The solid sheets and the stripped ones are great, but not the ones with the same pattern as the comforter. That pattern will compete with the pattern on the dresser drawers and the head board. The strips would be more complementary. If the back side of the comforter can be used, then go for it. I think you will end up with a really good looking bedroom. You have good taste. :)

What color are you painting the walls?

The furniture is beautiful.. But, I would not go with the contemporary comforter. Look at the ones below. I think the swag is a bit formal. But, I do like the shade shown with the picture of your headboard. You could use a pair of side panels with that style shade. Choose your comforter first, then pair up the style for your window treatment. I did not mean to bust your bubble. I just don't care for the contemporary look with your style of furniture.

I personally like the Nantucket Garden if you want a block or the Nantucket Garden Floral which are both of blue in the link below. There are others there that I like, but if you wanted blue, I think the styles below would be better. I like the desk that WendyCat listed.

I agree with renavato. Like the furniture, except for the desk - definitely get a dark wood one that you can use forever!
The aqua drapes are beautiful, but not with that bedspread!
Try a different bedding, or different drapes.
