a) What is 6.51x10^-8 m in units of nanometres?
1nm = 10^-9m
so
6.51x10^-8m = 6.51x10^1x10^-9m = 65.1nm

b) What is 5.84x10^9 g in units of megagrammes?
1Mg = 10^6g
so
5.84x10^9g = 5.84x10^3x10^6g = 5840Mg

c) What is 7.42x10^-4 J in units of microjoules?
1μJ = 10^-6J
so
7.42x10^-4J = 7.42x10^2x10^-6J = 742J

6.51 x 10^-8m x 10^9 nm/1m = 6.51 x 10 nm.

A conversion factor is a fair exchange. The thing on top has the same value as the thing on the bottom. The units you want to get into are on top; the ones to get out of are on the bottom; and the units should cancel to take you where you want to be.

Do the others the same way.
