Yes, it actually guides you in what you believe and do, what you consider to be moral or immoral, although most people probably don't realize it. Most people have a basic philosophy that guides what they do and how they view the world even if they don't articulate it or are not consciously aware of it. It's more than just the idle musings of ivory tower thinkers.

Science tells you what "is" but it is philosophy which shows what "should be". It helps you to view your own life in perspective.Philosophy helps you to ponder. It helps you to think independently and come to conclusions by yourself. It helps to reduce your prejudices and decide what is just, fair and beneficial not only to yourself but also to humankind and what is not. It also helps you to escape the drudgery and stupidity of a purely existence based on acquisitions of material objects. It helps you to realize that you are a human being responsible for the welfare and happiness of other peoples all over the world and should ,therefore, voice concern for their human rights.

Yes definitely. the written philosophy's are accepted globally and we can also follow those to be friendly with others,and especially
to do stuffs correctly. u know something the experienced fact is written as philosophy's mostly. Brilliant will learn things from others experience only fools will learn by them self :P. so lets all be brilliant always.. :-)
