Consider this:
We end up the exact distance from the sun to sustain life.
We have become a perfect machine. Science could not have created a better, more perfect machine than the human body.
My stance is that God CREATED evolution.
Best answer doesn't have to be one that agrees with me.

#1. We are not the exact distance from the Sun to sustain life. Infact, we could be either 35% closer or farther and still sustain life. Our distance from the Sun varies throughout the year (orbit is oval not circular).

#2. The human body is not perfect, we have a useless organ and extra teeth that do not fit in to our jaw. Which clearly supports Evolution as this organ may have been used at one time in our ancestors and these extra teeth are perfectly suited for our ancestor's larger jaws.

#3. God created evolution? Abiogenesis makes a lot more sense.

*Edit: I think you've been watching too much Kent Hovind.

A god could indeed have created evolution as a mechanism to establish life, but the idea is provably useless: since the proposittion is irrefutable, it can lead to no consequences. But the notion that humans are in any way perfect is absurd; when was the last time that you had a cold? And the idea that the earth's distance from the sun demonstrates something is equally absurd: this is called the anthropomorphic argument, and is a classic example of the logic error called post hoc. There are a billion trillion planetary systems in the universe, and it is not in the least surprising that at least one of these had conditions suitable for supporting life. Evolution is now a proven fact; proof details are available on request.

I'm not gunning for best answer, but I agree with you completely. Evolution is merely the way God has decided to allow His creation to develop over the eons of time. One of the Laws of Thermodynamics states that matter is neither created or destroyed in our universe - it just changes form. All matter is actually potential energy. And vise versa. But the thing is that at some point in the past, it actually had to be created somehow, for it to exist now. I say that God initially created all the basic matter in the universe by speaking it into existence and willing it to exist, where nothing had existed before. (The "big bang" possibly???) Evolution is just one of the ways that God brings about further development of His creation. Keep in mind that in the timeline of an infinite spirit being such as God, billions of years are like what one day would be to us.

The account of creation in Genesis is not consistent with cosmic or biological evolution. If we believe that's God's Word in Scripture is true, then evolution theory cannot be true....they are totally incompatible. People try to fit them together but in doing so, deny God's Holy Word as being true.
Evolution requires millions of years for it to take place....God's Word in Genesis says that He created everything in the universe in six literal days about 6000 years ago according to the genealogies of the Bible.

The earth was a watery world in the beginning....not a molten mass that gradually cooled and developed water from comets striking it over millions of years as cosmic evolution suggests.
The earth was formed first before the stars contrary to cosmic evolution.
Birds were created before land animals (reptiles) which is contrary to Neo-Darwinian evolution theory.
The first man, Adam, was made in the image of God...not through a common ancestor with apes as evolution explains.
When He was done with creation, God called everything "very good" which means it was perfect from the beginning and did not need millions of years of death and evolution through random mutations and natural selection to arrive at perfection. Sin and death did not enter the world until Adam and Eve first sinned.
The scientific Law of Biogenesis states that all life comes from previous life so at some point, life had to either start on it's own through purely natural means or it must have been created. Science has yet to demonstrate a purely naturalistic process for this to occur as well as the origin of the informational code of DNA which all living things possess.
In addition, the universe, our earth and solar system seem to be finely tuned for life to even exist....if, for instance, the force of gravity were ever so minutely changed, life would not be possible. Even the properties of our planet, moon and our place in the solar system are absolutely correct for life to take place.
All of these facts point more strongly to a Creator rather than random chance occurences.

Jesus believed and taught that Genesis was historical.
Matt. 19:3 God created them male and female in the beginning
Luke 11:50-51 Abel, a son of Adam and Eve, is named as a prophet
Matt. 24:38 Noah, the ark, the flood are spoken of as historical
John 3:14 Jesus speaks of Moses and the brazen serpent
Luke 17:28 Jesus speaks of the days of Lot
Matt. 10:15 the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah is spoken of by Jesus
Matt. 12:40 Jonah the prophet

I'm not much of a religious person, but nor am I aethiest (more of a fence sitter haha). But if god created evolution, what created God, and did God create the earth? Did God create the Universe?
Was God only created to explain what people couldn't?

What does God created evolution mean? We see change in nature but in no way do we see one species mutating into another. It just isn't there.

Evolution is a man made concept. Either the word of God is taken as it is written or you must throw all of it out. If God's word is not true in one area then it is not true in any. Why would any Christian believe that God created the earth and the heavens but then deviate from his written explanation for man? You can not have partial truth. God is either truth or lie. The word of God is not a smorgasbord. No in-between.

There is no conclusive evidence of man's theory of how we got to this point in our history. Only supposition. Superstition if you believe in Abiogenesis. I wouldn't be so quick to throw out God's explanation and replace it with man's.

Well at least you're not approaching evolution with the attitude that it is wrong. Most of your fellow christians won't even entertain the idea that there is something to it. Most of you tell me that because I understand it and think it is true that I am going to hell. This way of thinking made me walk out of church over four decades ago and not return.

Actually, a lot of us intelligent thinkers feel the same way. So many people are closed-minded and think it has to be one way or the other; Creationism or Evolution, with no room for middle-of-the-road thinking that allows for both concepts to co-exist.

I fully believe in God, and believe He created the Universe and all the wonders it holds via the path of natural evolution. But over the years people have tried to buttonhole God's works in order to better control their fellow man via organized religion, which has been proven to be full of holes, conflict, lies, and bloodshed.

I beleive that God created all the animals perfectly at the time He created them, but he didn't reckon that humans would come around and mess everything up. I beleive that He had a hand in Evolution, but that it was mostly the animal itself. It needed better substances on its body, and its genetical makeup responded.
I am considering that God made the Sun and the planets. He put life on these (Dinosours on Earth) and saw which sustained life best (Earth). He then destroyed the life form he had originally created, and put on beautiful creatures, plants, and then humans TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. This is in the Bible, if you will look closely.

This is my opinion! Thanks, that was a really good question, I can't wait to see the answers!
