A Mormon (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) believes that God speaks through prophets today just as he did for thousands of years before Christs original apostles died.
I watched the movie, "Luther" for the 2nd time recently. Martin Luther seems like a very good person.

Lutherans are Christian, that is they believe in the Holy Trinity as revealed in Scripture, and confessed in the three Ecumenical Creeds.
Mormons do not, and therefore are not Christian.
In reply to Chris: Scripture does not state that Baptism is for infants; neither does it state that it is for adults only. It clearly says "all nations". It also tells us that "baptism now saves us".
I will therefore continue to accept and advocate infant baptism, and my belief that it is a means of Gods grace! I'm not alone. All Lutherans, Anglicans, Roman Catholics, and Orthodox accept it also. That's way more than all of the other denominations put together. The almost universal acceptance of this doctrine, and the lack of a contrary view in The Bible is enough for me, as it should be for all. The same goes for the doctrine of the Trinity.
Your friend in Christ,
Mark
Addendum:
Isolde referred to these new Prophets as restorationists because they started from "scratch". Why then would God not have given us the truth that we need right from the start? These "later day Prophets" teachings often conflict with Scripture as us main-line Trinitarians believe. By inference this tells us that they believe scripture is WRONG, and that God is a liar.
I don't think so.
I'm sure that I will get a lot of thumbs down from LDS people, and may even get reported, but Scripture is what it is, Gods Word. And Jesus Christ is what He is, the Word made Flesh!

Lutherans believe in infant baptism, LDS don't. The LDS believe men can attain godhood in the next life, Lutherans don't.

Mormonism is a cult that leads to eternal hell, because Mormonism rejects the truth that Jesus is God and rejects the truth that salvation is by grace through faith without works. Mormonism also adds their cult "book of Mormon", which isn't from God. Mormonism is not true Christianity.
Lutheranism is only true Christianity if the Lutheran in question doesn't believe that water baptism is necessary for salvation, and that baby baptism is of any value.
In other words, baby baptism is of no value according to the Bible, and water baptism is not required for salvation, according to the Bible.

Martin Luther was a Catholic priest who questioned practices of the church such as the sale of indulgences, celebate clergy, transubstantiation. He came to his conclusions through study of scripture and his own logic. Many of the doctrines he adopted were grounded in Catholic theology. This was as Jesus put it putting new wine in old casks. As courageous as Luther was to break from the church, he did not go back to a primitive Chrisianity. Other reformers came along who attempted to make additional corrections in doctrine.
Unlike these reformers, Joseph Smith began a Restoration church. His doctrines were based on revelation. He did not graft the church on the old trunk. The Priesthood was restored. The Heavens were opened.
