I live in lebanon, i have a ps3, 2 games: resistance fall and motorstorm. I can't download the updates of resistance or motorstorm. When i choose online in resistance, the update begins to download and then after 10/12/22/29/38.. minutes the updates stop downloading and it says to me :" Network connection failed, Disconnecting from network"
How do i fix that problem??? I called my Inetrnet service provider and he said to me" if the PS3 connects normally to the internet, then i don't know how to fix you're problem!!! the ps3 is not my speciality!!!" After he said that, i like begin to shout at him. how do i fix the problem??? Is it cz of sony servers??? Is it cz i live in lebanon??? is it cz my connection is not so good( i got on speedtest.net download: 561, upload: 8!!!) and what does "Network connection failed, Disconnecting from network" means???I know i ask so many questions, but it' driving me crazy to be able to access the ps store or the internet browser and not the online play!

561kb or 561mg, that would be a huge difference. ANyway it would seem that if the speed is 561 kb then the connection is too slow and that could be what the problem is...also some internet providers have a download (bandwidth) limit per month ...you maybe exceeding that limit. See if you can download via the PC and move it over to the playstation.

ALso connect with the ethernet...a interrrupted wifi signal will cause update failures.

Also disable the information bar at the top right hand corner of the ps3 main menu

When it disconnects does it give you an error code (an 8 digit number. e.g.80410410)
If it does, google the number along with PS3 and you should get directed to forums where other people have had similar problems.
Sometimes it's router settings that upset it.

hey i live in Jordan, your neighbors, and i have the exact same problem with resistance. i've searched the forums and found several solutions but non of them worked for me, some of the solutions are Port Forwarding or putting your PS3 into DMZ. but as i said, none of them worked for me.

Almost forgot...i've read in the official resistance forum that if you have an imported game, it won't work online.
