My personal favorite....I've made this alot of times!

Baked Ziti

1 pound dry ziti pasta (or penne pasta can be used also)
1 pound lean ground beef
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
1 1/2 cups sour cream
6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons grated
Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.

2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.

3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.

Well seeing as the others have done savoury here goes with a simple and delicious desert!
1 pack choc chip cookies
1 bottle medium sherry
1 x 300ml carton double cream
either choc. vermichelli or freshly grated choc.

whip the cream until it is quite firm and forms peaks.
soak the cookies in sherry and lay onto a serving dish, eight at a time in 2 rows of four forming an oblong. Cover the first layer with cream then keep building the oblong up until you have run out of cookies. Coat all the sides with cream then add the vermichelli or grated chocolate. Put into the fridge for at least two hours then serve - fab!!!

BBQ SAUCE

1/4 c cider vinegar
1/2 c water
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp lemon juice (see my note at the end)
1 onion, thinly sliced or diced
1/2 tsp red pepper
1/4 c butter
1/2 c ketcup
2 Tbsp Wocestershire sauce

Combine the first 10 ingredients (vinegar thru butter) and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add ketchup and Wocestershire. Return to a boil and simmer until ready to use. This can be used on any meat or you can simmer cooked burers in this sauce for BBQ burgers.

NOTE: This is a recipe from my aunt.. my mom and I do things a bit differantly. Mom would dice up a lemon and add it to the sauce. Sounds a bit odd but it gave it a great flavor. I didn't care for the bits of lemon rind in the sauce, though, so I quarter the lemon, squeeze out the juice and add the rind to the sauce during hte simmer time. It's easy to take the quartered pieces of lemon out and you still get the lemon flavor.

Try using different sausages, like pork and leek or pork and chili, or beef and tomato, vary the flavourings with different sauces or try adding mustard or curry paste for a change.
