Just for a note - a lot of Charlie Chaplin and Lural and Hardy films and mini-features are in the public domain meaning that they are free to use, watch, and even sell. You can find them and watch them if you're interested - they're completely legal to watch, download and use.

'm just pissed off joan coz It's A wonderful Life isn't on this year. Will have to watch my DVD instead.

Know what you mean though about Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy....staple part of our diets when we was kids at Crimbo. I actually think though hun as much as a Mad Bad World we live in now some of them are probs to PC Violent to show now.

I used to love watching L&H, they used to be on during school holidays too, not just at Christmas (if I remember right?) My fave was the one with the piano, I'm laughing just even remembering it now!

I think you are right, they would maybe not appeal to modern youngsters as they're not fast paced enough. Everything these days flicks so fast you can't blink quick enough to keep up with the movement, and kids today don't know any different.

I remember them not much younger than you Joan lol so yes but still we have some good old films on today My Fair Lady you cant beat the old stuff.

funny you should say that joan , because i was talking to my mum the other day and i said they don't show any shirley temple films anymore i loved watching those films and others like them when i was a child (innocent , heart warming films),and i know my daughter would enjoy them too x
