When you've finally paid for all the gifts, then you can have that Christmas cheer!

Christmas is the spirit of the season. Its not about gifts. Its the time to set aside a day or evening with loved ones , the spirit of giving, helping a person down on thier luck. Do a act of kindness for a friend or neighbor, you'll feel the spirit. You don't need snow to feel the spirit. Trust me we have over a foot and it doesn't make it more like Christmas , just harder to get to loved ones.Count your blessing, and Merry Christmas.

I know, it really does not feel like Christmas to me too. I'm really not into the Christmas Sprite this year, I don't know why.
It has nothing to do with age at all, I love Christmas and all the shopping, and everything that goes with Christmas...
buy any way too everyone,
Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Very happy and Healthy New Year!!!

When I was a little girl, I can remember it always being really cold here in Texas, so when it actually gets into the 30's and 40's that is what makes it feel like Christmas to me.

Christmas doesn't feel the same as when I was a child. Plus, my parents aren't here anymore. I am a single parent. No man. I hope the new year will be different. My family is defunctional. So I am keeping my butt at home this year. I don't want to deal with the drama and fake people. Plus, my brother-in-law is an ******. I heard him tell one of his friends that he doesn't love my sister anymore. Every since then I have lost respect for him. I can't stand his as* now. He is very disrespectful to my sister and she puts up with it just to say she is married. They been married for over 20 hard years. My sister is living hell on earth with her husband but I guess that makes her happy. I also think he cheats on her too. I don't like watching football either and at their house that what the men like to do. They don't help cook but sit their black as*e* down and watch sports. I am staying at home for less drama and stress. I am going to let my son go over to my sister's house later. I love my family and friends but I can't do it this year. Christmas is not the same anymore. I guess as a child I was so innocent.

I had this problem last year.A close family member had passed away and I didn't want Christmas. But then it hit me ! Christmas isn't about the gifts or candy,or cards and commercials! Its about being with people you love I don't know if you are religious or not , so if you are this holiday is also about the birth of Jesus and strengthening your relationship with God.

I think believing in Christ is enough to give us joy, knowing that He will come again.
We have to look to our inside.
The outside is so empty with the commercialization of Christmas, the lights, gifts, presents - none carry any real meaning, let alone hope.
Christ is our hope.
I suggest reading the gospel of Luke about the begetting and birth of Christ, this is our belief.
