Well you want a lot of swimmers if you and your wife are trying to get pregnant.

A researcher a few years ago was looking at a sample where most of the sperm were sluggish. He added sperm from a different guy to see what would happen and to his surprise, the sluggish sperm started to wake up and attack the sperm from the other sample. It was like a reproductive football game or a Rugby scrum.

The non-motile sperm hang around to act like blockers.
