Well Christmas Eve is nearly over for me - 2.5 hours til mid-night!

I had a champagne brunch with my best friends in the world which went on most of the day, home for a nap, then a quick mad dash to the shops for some food, then home for a visit by some more friends, then off to church, then we came home and made Santa some cookies and chocolate milk and chopped up carrots from the reindeers. It's so bloody hot here that one of my daughters is now in the shower to cool down so she can get some sleep and I can stealthily sneak out all the presents. Oh, and I also have to do some cooking for tomorrow.

I'd have loved to have popped into Obanpussyginger's house today!

Cleaning the house today and going to my grandparents for a big family gathering tonight. Then the kids will leave some treats out for Santa when we get back and when they are in bed we'll put the presents under the tree.

watching neices and nephews eyes full of wonder and suprise as they open presents from extended family a day early. I don't know which they are more excited about, X-mas or that they don't have to wait til it gets here. Then the reading of the nativity story and the true meaning of the season for my family.

The same as usual - I finished work about an hour ago and will be having my tea soon. I might pour myself a glass of wine in a bit, but nothing else.

Waiting for hubby to finish work. helping to prepare supper, yummy lobster salad and pink champagne. Then playing at 'meals on wheels!' delivering said supper to mother's house, then daughter and son-in-law's house, both have their champers already on ice!. Then home again long soak in bath and enjoy. xx

Depression....

Got a new job. Then my old employers failed to supply the personnel reference in time.

As a result I'm now on the dole. Just after all the Xmas temps were taken on..

Total bummer!

my day will be spent relaxing on here for a while, then I'm going to watch some TV, then for a long soak in the bath and finish off the book I've been reading.
