Nah, we'd take ourselves a little trip to the supermarket and fill up a basket. I've done it before. It's called honesty insurance. If they didnt' want a basket full of food, they should have asked me for what they really wanted. The worst answer I can give them is no.

no, because they may not be a bum instead i would buy then a gift certificate to a grocery store.. or to a fast food chain i.e Mc Donalds.. that way you are sure they are buying food, and hopefully not alcohol

No, i would let them stock up on food from my cupboards.
Then take them to curries and say if they want a tv get one themselves ;)

I would take them to the grocery store and pay for the food. Most people I know would take the $ and use it for cigarettes and drugs.
