A lot of Americans aren't racist, but the ones who are speak very loudly. Racism is caused by status inequallty. With America being populated by people with different racial / cultural backgrounds, there is bound to be competition. Competition for jobs is a big one. If someone loses a job to someone who will work for less, than the first person will feel prejudice against the 2nd's race. BUT, if two different races work together to obtain a goal, then the prejudice will dissapear. Think about it like this: Everyone has been jealous of someone else and "nitpicked" them and their personality. People cannot deal with failure or rejection, therefore we must find imperfection in our opponent, to justify our failure. It isn't just America that does this, for all humans have developed this technique to cope.
Until the world is equal in status, prejudice will exist. For this to happen, everyone must be of the same social class, make the same amount of money, and have no competition.

It is proven that EVERYONE has a little racism in them. It's whether or not you allow this racism to control your actions that counts.

First off....The majority of Americans are not racist. The racist ones just happen to be the loudest group. It is no different than the situation with Muslims, where the majority of Muslims are against terrorism and harming others, while the few extremists like Al Qaeda are the ones that are the loudest, making the whole group look bad. As for the Indians and Mexicans, those stem from hot button issues in the US and not racism in specific. There have been many tech job that have been moved to India, for instance, leaving Americans working in technology (myself included) without jobs, thus resulting in anger directed at India because it feels like the work we do to feed our families was stolen from us. As for the Mexicans, the anger directed towards them, and Hispanics in general, is because of the hot button issue of illegal immigration and the vast majority of it comes from our southern border. Many of us equate coming here illegally as breaking into our home and stealing (in this case, tax dollars we pay for our children to go to school, getting medical care at our expense, etc.), with our federal government dragging their feet on to boot and I'm certain that many other countries in the situation would be upset as well.

Racism is a HUMAN characteristic, not an American one.

The reason we Americans may seem so racist is because our country has to deal with so many different races.

YES, i know that many other countries are just as multi cultural and the U.S.A, but the sheer numbers we have is where the difference lies.

Also, many of us are extremely resentful that people of foreign birth who enter this country illegally ( regardless of color) seem to get preferential treatment from our government in regards to public services, taxes, health care, etc..........

This resentment may take racist tones.

Last point: We are not required to all get along. We are allowed to not like things. Its called free will.

Yes I have noticed that to. But not all Americans are like that. They are racist because sometimes they are what you call "insecure" and just tease other people about color or more to make them feel higher than you.

But please remember "NOT ALL OF THEM ARE LIKE THAT".

To all Americans:Please do not get offended. I know all of you are good people.i am just writing this as a reminder to all of you there, that do not be racist. America is a great country. But look other people from different countries are getting offended . You may be bringing shame to your country. Why not bring Honor to your country, by stopping racism .

America was built on hate. They virtually wiped out the native americans so that they can take the land for themselves.

Now they can't even live with each other (ex. Divorce). Which shows how cruel they have become.

There are racists here in Canada as well, but I think the Canadian racists are generally quieter and sneakier about their prejudices compared to their American counterparts.

Look, how you spelled American, if you remove the "M" that will be your answer.
The three nationalities mentioned are the reasons why Americans can't sleep at night.
Fear is the root of hate, and hate spawns racism, unfortunately Kharma is a B****.
Also Hate is the only thing that Americans can do collectively well.

America was not always racist, integration made us that way.
Whites were FORCED to mix with blacks, now there's hell to pay.

Before 1964 both races got along well, you can check the history books
Now being FORCED to live together, has made things far worse then it looks.

INTEGRATION is the culprit, that neither race can live with
Segregation worked well before ,equality is just another myth
