they say the 2wd gets about 20 in the city, I was wondering if it was different for the 4wd model? I know that 98% of the time you would be using 2wd mode, but still is there a difference?

according to the US Environmental Protection Agency the difference is minimal. the 2008 CRV 2wd is rated 20 city 27 highway; the 4wd is rated 20 city 26 highway.

the ratings for the 2000 through 2007 CRV have all had similar minimal spreads in mpg.

in 2007 the EPA changed the way it calculates fuel economy so the ratings for 2007 and 2008 models are generally lower than previous years but they are more "real world". from my experience the 20 mpg city is real world

here's the link to the fuel economy ratings

hope that helps
