After a while all things are only gonna be compatable with vista and xp is gonna be old news like windows millenium and 98. the only problem people are having with vista is when they are trying to use old software and old hardware like webcams that are programmed to work with xp. wake up people if u got the new operating system get a new webcam or printer and it will work fine, vista is a whole new operating system i dont expect any of my old programs or devices to work on vista. all new hardware sold in the market now is compatibale with windows vista. so if u got the new operatring system and u dont wanna complain about it dont try to use old hardware and buy new and then u will realize how much better vista is then xp. also for vista to work better i suggest u have atleast 1GB of ram, if u only got 512MB it will be slow.

XP. Much less problems with XP than with Vista. Too bad, Vista looked cool.

There are some cool little extras that vista has to offer but a tad more reliability from xp for programs at the mo. If your looking to buy 1 of them, buy vista because it will get better very soon.
Make sure you have lots of ram for vista. 1gb is min spec but it would be good to have 2 processors with a gig of ram EACH.

Right now, XP is better. Vista has too many compatibility issues and finding drivers is a nightmare. Also the marketplace hasn't caught up with Vista yet, and older programs won't work properly.
Although, once you get used to finding things, Vista does have a better interface.

XP... Vista has too many compatibility problems, and not enough advantages to justify the expense and headaches. The price Microsoft is asking for Vista is just unacceptable, only a monopoly would dream of extorting that much money for their product.
