Yes, they are- my daughter is- she works in an all Black hospital and she is the "token" white chick-- jokes abound, comments continue and attitudes are unforgivable- but because she is WHITE she must take it because she is not the minority in our society's eyes--and I'm sick and tired of hearing blacks calling eachother the N word and think it's cool - because we get hit with racism if we use it -IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE CALLED IT DON'T USE IT ON EVERY MTV SHOW AND SONG!
Are people that dumb that they don't realize that if you don't respect yourself, no one else will? Why should we respect their wishes and not use that word as a reference to them if they use it ALL THE TIME-- you don't see me calling myself a cracker.

In reality everyone has some prejudice about something, I don't mean just about race. If we didn't it would mean we had no opinions.
Yes, I do agree that caucasion people are now discriminated against. We must stand up for ourselves. Our problem is that when we do some liberal starts screaming that we are racists.
I find in the deep south, including Alabama, we are able to discuss this between the races. I find this cannot be done with people outside the deep south. I truly believe we have always been able to discuss things between us on individual levels.

I understand the statement well enough. I have a very few times felt that way but have worked through it. I do not discriminate against race so I have a hard time with being discriminated against. I do ask myself at times "..how long do I have to pay for the mistakes of my forefathers ?"
I like this question and will have to put more thought into it

I don't think delicacy has anything to do with Caucasians being discriminated against, it's just a sign of the times, some people have always felt discriminated against, and now it's the lighter sides turn. It's dumb, and I have a feeling that in time people will find better things to do.

I agree that today, Caucasians and especially American Caucasians are being discriminated against. It is called "reverse discrimination" , but it sounds like the same ole' discrimination from the past. I guess it just depends on what side of the discrimination you are on at the moment.
My thoughts: Discrimination, and more specifically , racism sucks but is a human characteristic.

I agree with you. My husband is caucasion and I'm Japanese. He used to work as a security officer and there was this Chinese woman who wouldn't leave this university's libray even it's closing. This woman told my husband "You only act like that to me because I'm Chinese and you are white".
But he has many friends who are different race and he doesn't descriminate anybody for their colour or nation...
I hear some Indian people and even Japanese people say that to white folks in the town. I think there's something wrong with their minds.

I completely agreee with you.
I used to know someone who would call whites every single name in the book and not be called racist.
He would come up to me, personally, and insult me and say I'm an ignorant b*tch just like the rest of us whites, and we are the scum of the earth, an I should go take up lynching or what have you, and was deemed by nobody racist. It seems that as long as its against that majority, its not racism.
Now personally, I'm not for racism of ANY kind, but I DO want an even playing field. If I call you by an ethnic slur, yes I am racist, but you are too if you call me a cracker.

What goes around comes around.
P.S. Did you know that the federal government employees especially the postal service generate the most race based discrimination complains of all other agencies combined.

Discrimination has been a strong facet of human behaviour down the ages, and I don't think rules and regulations about it help at all - they just cover up the issue.
The worst discrimination I have found has been between blacks - they put us whites to shame with the power of their hatred for each other. My GF is Ugandan and she has nothing good to say about Nigerians, or even other Ugandan tribes.
As for me, I try to rub along with everyone, and if anyone objects to me because of the colour of my or my GF's skin, I put them in hospital for a while. Give them time to think about things.
