a lot of people are saying its impossible.
a lot of people said it was impossible to go to the moon or travel at the speed of sound also.

what do you think about this idea, take a motor and a altinator and hook them together. but using different sized pullys.
such as a 1/2 pully on the altinator and a 10 or 25 inch pully on the motor thus giving it a ratio of turn of= 20 turns or more on the altinator to one turn of the motor.

you see my point. and what about magnets as seen on youtube .

BEFORE YOU ANSWER THIS QUESTION LOOK AT THE VIDEO'S FOUND IN YAHOO SEARCH UNDER MAGNETIC ENGINES.

and try to keep a open mind. thanks.

and yes ive read the laws on this. but i disagree, becuase of the moving parts that could have a huge impact on the laws of perpetial motion.

Energy is not "created" but changed. An example is electrical energy changes to light when when connected to a light bulb. (Actually light and heat)
Give me just one example of getting more out than you put in.
The best you can hope for is a 100% transformation of the energy put in to the engergy you get out.
A motor takes a certain amount of energy (electric) to turn it but also creates heat - So you actually get less usefull energy out of a motor than you put in! An alternator takes a certain amount of energy (rotating torque) to produce electricity but also looses some of that energy to heat. Regardless of pully size you will always loose some of the energy to heat.
Even if you were to get 100% energy transfer from the motor to the alternator - where would any extra energy come from?
I like your question and hope you can prove me wrong - I would love to get some free energy.

To simply answer this question:
Because people have been claiming to have discovered it for 150 years and they're always proved wrong!
Go do it! Power you're neighborhood with one of them and see how that works out.
The laws of physics do not allow for such a thing, and before you ask why don't we change them I'm going to say BECAUSE THEY WORK, unlike every free energy machine ever created...
It really is that simple.
We are interested in cheaper ways of using energy, not getting it for free.
People just love to believe in the impossible for some reason, which is why you asked this question.

Free energy is used all the days:

* Water falls, hydraulic energy, as Niagara, or Itaipú in Brasil, that falling water never stops and is used for get free electricity and move turbines

* Eolic, wind energy, there is constants and powerfull winds in some places of the world and some people build aerogenerators and get too much megawatts, free electricity from the wind

* Solar panels supported with batteries bank can get free electricity and is used for too many houses, hotels or companies in the world, power levels are lower than hydraulic or wind systems, but is free electricity for practical uses

According to this evidence, who says to you free energy is not possible?

That evidence are not VIDEOS, you can go to any place of the world and see real generators working, videos can be trucated, but reality you don´t can trucate, videos are not evidence for nothing

Science is not about keeping an open mind. It is about starting with an open mind and then closing it to theories that do not work. We closed our minds to "free energy" about 300 years ago. It's called "Conservation of Energy." Energy cannot be created. Ever. Period. End of story. Your disagreement makes no difference. You don't get a vote. Science is not a democracy.

Posting the same question multiple times doesn't make it any more true.

As has already been said, the best you can do is hope to break even and make the energy transfer at 100%

Frictional losses, electrical line losses, thermal losses, etc. will always kill the theoretical benefits.

Whenever you do work you use up energy

Atoms are attracted to one another, this causes friction, which requires work to overcome it, which uses up energy and makes perpetual motion impossible in the real world

Fact of life

law of physics

no experiment on the macroscopic level has ever shown otherwise

If ever possible, it will never be FREE.
Not as long as it can be taxed.
