Oh yes. I used to experience that kind of pain every day from missing my boyfriend so much. He goes to grad school in another state.
Now we've broken up and he's with someone else, and the only time I feel that ache in my chest is when I remember the way it used to be, when we were so madly in love... Even though I know now that we're not right for each other, it still hurts to be replaced. And I miss being in love.
But yes, I have felt that. It's not something I want to go through again!

If my heart and chest ached badly, I'd be in an ambulance on the way to the cardiac center of the nearest hospital. If you miss someone that badly, call them (if you can) or keep your mind busy on something you like to do.
