I asked my mother this, her answer was "I will never be finished as long as you three are still alive"
FYI She and my Dad still work full time at the age of 72

Women never retire.
They continue to work until they die.
Retirement for a woman is very different to retirement for a man. A man "retires" and spends time on hobbies and other interests and gets under his wife's feet. A woman might retire from paid work, but still has to work in the home, that never stops.

Whenever the hell I want to.
I've got a lot of working left in me.
For a lot of women, work is a means of independence, both socially and financially. I suppose if a woman has earned and invested enough to have some means of financial independence, she may be inclined to seek social interaction elsewhere.

When she wants to. I know women who quit in their 20's to get married, in their 30's to raise children, and I know others who are still working in their 60's. It is a personal choice.
