True about there being no Americans in the real escape. But the film is a classic and was on yesterday.
A few years ago Time Team did a special and did a dig at the camp and found the remains of the 3 tunnels.

i bet you watched it last night. hes at the boarder of france and the switzerland alps because the piolot of the stolen plane says only 20 minuites to go to reach switzerland before he ran out off gas. thats where it was filmed.

He was also the german chasing him, because the other biker rider they hired wasn't fast enough
