How did Windows detect it? Windows does not have a built-in antivirus program. Do you mean your current antivirus program detected it?
There are some rouge security programs that will try to scare you with popups in Windows, trying to make you buy their products.
If you get a baloon/popup from an unknown program, telling you that you are infected with a virus and you need to download their software, then it's probably a scam.
If a known, trusted security program is telling you that you are infected with Netsky, then quarantine or delete it using the program. If that doesn't work, then restart your PC and when it is booting up, keep tapping F8 then boot into safe mode.
Once in safe mode do a full scan and delete the infection.
Also, was it a firewall that detected this? If so, it might have just been a worm trying to infect your PC, but it could have been blocked by your firewall.
I can;t help further without knowning exactly which security program found this threat.

yes avast free should find it if not get a-squared it well find it and delete it . well a-squared should find it cause it s a worm your infected with and if you update a-squared it well have like over 1 million signatures and a-squared scan for worms so chances are it well find it

go to www.grisoft.com.download the free avg antivirus program.install it,update it and scan ur computer.It will remove the virus.(i hope,but i think it will). gudluck
