I have been given my slinky down 8 stairs fairly some cases (it grew to become into our longest staricase in that living house) yet then I snapped a pair of quarter off because of the fact it have been given tangled. It not in any respect recovered and now does a optimum of three stairs... (it grew to become right into a plastic funky colored one, not the unique metallic form one)

Yep. I had about 5 of them, and I would have slinky races with them to see which one could make it down the steps the fastest.

I had that gift as a child I couldn't get it to walk down the stairs or do anything for that matter.

Yes, the old metal ones. Not the new plastic variety. They used to make a slinkety sound. Now they just click.

Yes... but it was a metallic one not the stupid plastic ones. plastic ones only went about one step before crashing down the rest of the stairs...
