ubuntu will it wipe all my data in windows or it will gimme option of customising and choosing in which drive i want it to install??????????

hey dude i am already running dual boot as ubuntu and xp what am i asking is will it work too if i install ubuntu as a server and not as os or will it take over full drive?????
can i eun in having a os and a server on different partitions.......

You must install each operating system on a separate partition. If you install Ubuntu on the same partition (drive) as Windows, it will overwrite it completely - Linux uses a completely different file system natively.

Depending on which version of Windows you have (except Vista), you can dual-boot. But remember, you can only run one OS at a time on one PC.

My thoughts are---Server----Ain't that its own operating system? Sure it is- I got on. You might be hosting but to be a server, XP-Linxus--- You never need more that Windows on a PC, Linxus is a waste of time.
