I'm a huge Giants fan and live in Albany N.Y 3 minutes away from where the G-Men hold training camp. Through this Eli era i've wanted to hug Eli and also choke the hell out of him. I always say your only as good as what's around you. Right now the Giants are a running team, and if Eli has to throw more than 30-35 passes they will have a tough time winning. He does not have the recieving core to light up the field "yet". If it wasn't for poorly run routes dropped passes and tipped balls Eli would have better numbers, but hey that's football. Another thing is that Eli will always be compared to Peyton which isn't fair but oh well. Do this, take Peyton's receivers and put them on the Giants and vice versa, now Eli has better numbers and peyton's drop a little. Truth is Eli is right on the exact pace of Phil Simms who as you know "some of you" has 2 superbowl rings and a superbowl 21 passing record/MVP. Eli will be fine.....stay true blue.

Its now no longer even close. Eli Manning performed rather properly down the stretch of the common season and in the playoffs the year the Giants gained the excellent Bowl, in spite of the shown fact that he wasn't the main mandatory reason they gained. he's continuously remembered for circuitously getting removed from Patriots defenders on that admired toss-up, in spite of the shown fact that David Tyree made the paranormal grab, and is the guy who quite could desire to get the vast majority of the credit on that play. Then Eli tossed the eventual activity-winner to Plaxico Burress, however the sport did no longer end until the Giants aggressive protective line bull-rushed the Patriots into submission on the desirable capability of the sport. Peyton, then returned, gained with a much less magnificent risk-free practices and has finished so for many of his profession. His defenses have continuously been solid, and a great style of circumstances rather solid, yet i might argue that none of them ever have been as solid as Eli's became into that three hundred and sixty 5 days. and in spite of the certainty that which you would be able to desire to declare Eli had a lot to do with that identify win, that still became into as quickly as the three hundred and sixty 5 days the place he had concerns remotely collectively. he's been a alluring inconsistent participant, in any different case, whilst Peyton has been the form of consistency and elite introduction in all aspects for his finished profession.

He's in the playoffs because of an interception return for a touchdown and an 80 yard touchdown run by someone who never scored an NFL touchdown. Eli didn't help matters by throwing 2 interceptions and fumbling away two. Eli is only still in the league as a starter because he's Peyton's brother and Archie's boy. I'm guessing San Diego is pretty happy he asked for a trade.

Eli is another D. Carr or J. Harrington. A deer in the headlines. He is garbage and always will be. I bet V. Young wish he had that receiving core. He has too good of a running squad to not make good decisions that will balance out the offense.

ELI HAS PLAYED HORRIBLE!
OK HE IS IN THE PLAYOFFS BUT WILL HE GET THEM ANY WHERE? ABSOULETLY NOT! UNLESS HIS DEFENSE COMES TO PLAY AND WINS THE GAME FOR HIM
basically Eli is only a starter because of his brother and dad

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize that there is NO ONE else on that team. I admit his WRs helped him attempt to set a record for incomplete passes, BUT that doesn't make him better. Just like getting in the playoffs isn't all him. He wanted to be in New York, he wanted the attention, he picked to be a QB just like daddy and Big Brother so he can GRIN AND BEAR IT, as can his supporters. You don't want to deal with the trash then don't bring it on yourself.

I'm not. The previous several games before this win weren't very good for him. Especially that game against Minnesota where he threw all those picks to one of the worst passing defenses in the league. If the Giants win the Super Bowl, I'll get off his back about it.

If Eli's last name wasn't MANNING he wouldn't even be talked about and would be on his way to career backup status. Face it the guy isn't a great QB.
