Your question is invalid, or your perception if you really mean it. If you are in Kuwait, I think you'll find most muslims there are either extremely hospitable and excited about you, or avoid you (and you would never notice this.)

If you go to the friday market, you'll even find that no one cares.

The reason extremist muslims hate, not just Americans, but Jews and any other religion as well, is becuase they are strong believers of their bible, the Quran. In the Quran, Mohammed, the author and who muslims consider to be a prophet, wrote that Allah, or God, basically agrees for muslims to kill any other non-believer in the Quran or religion as a whole, and that muslim will go to paradise/heaven. These extremist belong to organizations like the Taliban and Al Qaeda, which Osama runs.

But not all muslims are extremist. Some of these african and middle east nations are friendly, like Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Turkey is probably of the least islamic countries with sectarian (religious) violence. Consider this, suicide bombers in Irap killing American soldiers believe they are going to paradise for having done that for Allah.

There is a lot of history to this-including the recent 9/11. Another reason why extremist hate America, is because we support the Jews in Israel,especially those in Jerusalem, where the Islamic Golden Dome is located (where is believed by the muslims that mohammed rose into paradise). Those muslims living there, in somewhat peace with the Jews, are called Palestanians. Just like the Spaniard Muslims had their own other name when they resided there from 711-1492, they were called the Moors.

Just remember that not all Muslims hate other religions/nations, many are friendly- which is nice to know.

It's not all Muslims. The Muslims that hate America are the Extremist but the good Muslims if they speak out against the bad ones are considered worst than Americans. It isn't Americans its the people who claim they are Christians. To Muslims Christians are the infidels. There is one way to stop the widespread hatred. Stop trying to police the world and get out of the middle east telling them what they should do. After all, look at the mess in America.

First, not ALL Muslim hates Americans. That's a sweeping generalisation that can be very irritating. There is a substantial Muslim population in Hong Kong (where I live) and I never had the impression that they hate Americans.

Some Muslims, however, do disapprove Americans in general. One of the more obvious reasons is the American Support for Isreal. Isreal has been occupying substantial areas Palestinian land for nearly half a century, and it is continually setting up colonies and building walls in the occupied area. Another reason is that many Muslims have little understanding of the United Sates (although the reverse is also true).

Again this is a very complicated and sensitive issue and if I were you I would be very cautious in commenting on this topic.

Actually this summation of why Muslims aren't too keen on America and her allies is pretty much spot on in my opinion and as we all know Religion is a very powerful force around the world (but a lot of the stuff that goes on in the world re squabbles in the name of religion is more man decided than God-decided I think - if there really is a God/Allah) and the Israel question is one that certainly annoys the Palestinians for instance and yes the USA does lean towards aiding the Israellis not that I am knocking that but that is the way it is and naturally Muslims around the world might be annoyed with that and I think that is the main gripe. Interesting that idea re sex. Like in Western Society, like here in Australia women get around in the briefest of bikinis and unless I am stupid I am sure the average Australian bloke doesn't look at them through lustful eyes - it is just an accepted thing really - they are usually more interested in catching waves than perving on their womenfolk - and if God made us then what is sinful about a female/male body???? and if women dressing in a free way means that certain men can't control themselves well maybe it is the men who need to know about restraint. In some Muslim countries there are strict dress rules and by having stringent rules like that well to my way of thinking it is a form of "control" or thinking the males will go berserk if they see a woman's face or whatever or even a simple game of basketball well why can't the girls wear sporting gear and be free of all the cover ups??? There was a Muslim Cleric in Sydney after a pack rape situation whose view was it was the fault of the female and she presented like virtually Meat left there for the Cat to eat. I am thinking a believer in God and a follower of moral codes should have the ability within to control themselves???? You might have a point re consumerism though.

Muslims DO NOT hate Americans. Some Saudis, and Pakistani extremist are upset that we help their dictatorship governments stay in control. And our unquestioning support of isreals apartheid state and abuse of the palestinians upsets everyone, more so Muslims. These are the issues that led to 9-11, an act which horrified most muslim people.

Why do Americans hate Muslims?

You are over-generalizing. Yes, there are a few crazy Muslims out there. But there have been several terrorist attacks by Americans as well (John Walker Lindh, Timothy McVeigh, etc.) So can I ask why Americans hate America based on that?

You are stereotyping. I ain't muslim, but I see the hate. Most Americans (white) truck drivers hate muslims,hindus,any one from a different culture,country etc, skin color, accent, doesn't matter if they are a natuarlised American Citizen or a Natural Born American Citizen or not. (I am a truck driver and I never knew that this country was this racist till I became one). I see/hear it everyday on that CB Radio. White American truck drivers (most of them) hate! Muslims don't hate Americans, but in every religion or culture there is a bad sect. They hate Americans.
