1. Buy a domain
2. Setup of a web hosting
3. Create a website
4. Publish your website
For beginners I think yahoo web hosting is the best and easiest use. Yahoo has question and answer section that can solve most problems and direct phone line for additional support.

I like www.godaddy.com .. when you get that domain you get a free website of 5 pages. They have a couple adds but not obtrusive. I hate those that are loaded with side ads and others even when free. I think it is called Website tonight, and you can see your credits they give you when you log in after making a login. I used allllll the other domain places and love godaddy.com

You could go to http://www.tripod.com to put together a free site but you will have to buy a domain name. (If you want a .com ) so I would go to order a http://www.orderadomainname.com it you do the web hosting at orderadomainname.com it is 3.99 a month.
Actually what you should do is go to tripod build the site and just buy a domain name for about 10 dollars a year and have the domain name forward to the tripod site.

Hi there, you can get it 100% free. If you buy hosting, you might get domain name for free with it. If you buy domain, you might get hosting free from some free hosting providers. :-)

There is a way to get a free .com/.net/.org domain, but you'd have to be 18 or older. (And provide your own hosting.) Please email me for more information. :)
