ehhh, yeah woohoo is good but it would be W!A instead of Y!A... imagine having to say W!A, what a drag!

Yipee! would be cute. Personally I would have been a fan of Yahoo! sooner if it would have been Woohoo! or "Hey look there are a bunch of psychos on our answers section!"

I have been using Yahoo since it first started. In those days it was nothing more than a list of interesting websites, on a computer in the dorm room of a student at Stanford.
The word 'yahoo' means more than just a cheer. Yahoos were characters in the novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. In one of his trips he landed in a country where horses were very intelligent. There were men there too but they were stupid animals, like apes. He learned the horses' language, and it was all H and Y and O sounds, like horses speak. The horses called themselves 'Hwinyms' (I'm don't remember the spelling exactly) and called the men 'Yahoos'. This was Gulliver's last voyage, and when he got back to England he realized that ALL men were Yahoos and he missed the horses' companionship. He bought a couple of horses and for the rest of his life he spent several hours a day in the stable conversing with them about philosophy and stuff.
