I am trying to find a site(s) that shows tutorials on how to make people. Ive found alot of tutorials on many interesting things/effects, but cant seem to find anything on the creation of people. Ive found hundreds of books to purchase (but cant go that route being that I am a bit young and dont have a credit card to buy these.) I am just looking for tips/techniques. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Have you tried yahoo groups? There are MANY different polymer clay groups full of helpful people.

I see that fatima35 has already given a link to one of the pages at my website, but there are a few more pages to add from it if it's polymer clay you're interested in ... not "earth clay"--the kind that''s fired in a kiln.

If you are interested in *polymer* clay, the best pages to go to at my site (each of which also has loads of links to other good sites for more lessons and more examples) would be these:

especially for simpler sculpted figures:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/kids_beginners.htm
(... click on SCULPTING...)

The WEBSITES category on this page has everything from very simple figures to quite realistic and complex figures:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/sculpture.htm

This page covers body parts, sculpting tools, and jointed figures, etc.
http://glassattic.com/polymer/sculpting_body_and_tools.htm

for making heads in particular:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/heads_masks.htm

permanent support, etc, inside larger or more complex figures:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/armatures-perm.htm

miniatures of various kinds... not many "people" though

HTH, and have fun!

I would suggest that you just dig in, you really only need to know a few things when getting started try to make hollow objects 2, water is your friend 3 when sticking pieces together you want to rough them up so they stick

artists who make figures arnt likely to share who they do it , me tho... I uses a wire frame and it seemed ok at cone 6 , cone 9 not so much.

I've only seen books. I have seen the books in Jo-Ann fabrics, so you would be able to go and buy with cash. Also, Most online sellers will accept money orders, so you can still shop even without a credit card.
