I'd choose to be an alchemist. Not because I want to turn things into gold, but because, alchemy is the power of change 1 reality into another. No matter how terrible a situation became, there would always be hope, in that those things could always change. Since i make a lot of mistakes, this would be a very useful & practical power to have.

The ability to crawl into a little black hole whenever I needed it. Complete with a medium sized, self-access only room with a fridge, soda dispenser, couch, a bed, and a television with my game consoles.
I'd go there whenever I'm dealing with people staring at me or when I just need a "twix" moment.
Of course my little hole would come at will :-)

I would want the ability to dispense beverages from my fingertips - one beverage from each fingertip. One would be Coke, one would be iced tea, one would be lemonade, another would be coffee, another cocoa, etc, etc. Wouldn't that be a wonderful superpower?
