I said it was a documentary because I believe in Santa. It's a joke. I guess my sense of humor is wacky.

The book came first. It was written by Valentine Davies in 1947 and was adapted the same year for the movie. He won the Academy Award for Best Story. Now it sometimes takes years before a book is made into a movie. I wonder if many other movies were adapted so quickly back then.
