How can I reach my old best friend on myspace who doesn't allow users contact him without being his friend?

And I can't add him because it asks for his last name and he has some different last name now

You can send him a message. Just click on the send message button.

You should be able to send a message to anybody, whether or not they're your friend. It's always an option, unless you don't have a myspace account.
