No.

In my opinion, if they're your "loved ones", why leave them to strangers? And a lot of them are careless and cruel.

What I'M going to do, is get done through college and get a good career, and get a place for my Mom to live in close to me so I can take care of her. After all, she's been a lovely mother for 17 years and going. How would a mother/father feel after all those years they take care of you, you just send them to a nursing home? They'll feel neglected/un-loved. I myself wouldn't want my own kids doing that to me. I'd rather suffer and have her live with me or my sis than have her live in a nursing home.

Leaving them to the old folks home is never good.
Picking a good care facility is paramount.
Once they have been placed your responsibility does not stop. They are still in your care, just administered by others.
You will still need to be active in their lives and sacrifice all the time and effort you can muster to make sure that they are not forgotten or abused.

Merry Christmas

No, it's not...Just get a house nurse and she will take care...Don't send them to old people's house...
