My favorite is "the mystery gifts" where everyone buys something that costs the same or more, wraps it, takes it to the party, & then throws it in a pile, then-everyone picks a gift & opens it...if you don't like your gift, maybe someone will trade you...... (I did this every year with my mom's family)

that sounds like fun! we just sing some songs and eat then just have some fun with relatives!

we all get ready for the day by letting eveyrone stay up late - bake cookies,sing christmas songs,and we settle down to a nice glass of chocklate milk and a christmas movie. the adults are always up late wrapping,and preparing for breakfast christmas morning....
we will usualy have a couple people from the family stop by that wont make it christmas day and we play a couple games of cards..
the christmas eve tradition has always been baking cookies and singing christmas songs.we spend christmas day openeing gifts,and playing all sorts of games,and usualy wind up with a visit to the nursing home.
