If you had to leave your significant other to go on a 2 week long business endeavor and you came back to a "new" man or woman, how would you feel? My SO will be back on Wednesday (yeah, he is missing Christmas :-( ). I quit smoking about a month ago, and since then I have started working out and taking yoga classes. I have started feeling better about myself, so in turn I walk taller and hold myself up better. I also have actually started wearing foundation and pretty makeup (which, after a year and a half of dating, my SO has only since on me once). I have been taking care of myself and I feel GREAT. How do you think he will react? We are in early twenties. Will he be happy and instantly want me (LOL I hope!), or will he think I am trying to impress somebody else and not him and get suspicious? Just curious.

The clue will be in his feet.
You may notice him being on his toes more.

Whatever his reaction, Good for you. Keep it up!

If your self esteem is not a priority for him, tough.

Heck, by your description of your change, he may want to walk softly. He may even start taking care of himself better.

If he has a problem. You are not it. Let him work it out for himself, alone.

It depends. Did he love the old unconfident gloomy you. Or did he like you for something else. He'll probably be happier with you if he cares about you and wants you to be confident about yourself.

He'd probably love you even more because your confidence has grown and happier because you're starting to take care of yourself. Good job on changing =D

Just tell him that you have begun to reassess your life, and wanted to make some improvements. If he truly loves you, and believes in you, he should be happy for you.
