I believe that Elizabeth Taylor was the prettiest when younger, and Sophia Loren is more beautiful now. Marilyn Monroe was more of an icon, even though she was pretty. But her beauty was based on sex, whereas the other two were based on pure beauty, which got even more so as they aged.

Liz Taylor has always had very striking features especially when she was young. Sophia Loren has more of an exotic look and really unmemorable other than her movie 2 Women.. and to me Marillyn Monroe was just ok.

Impossible to answer but personally Sophia Loren because she was so incredibly statuesque (almost 5'9) and hourglassy with more curves than a Rand McNally road Atlas. She has the best proportions of any screen siren and has able to maintain that figure to this very day. But her face? Just astonishingly beautiful, tiger eyes, charmingly high cheekbones and those huge lips one that luscious slice of a mouth. NO ONE has that entire package today. Eva Mendez thinks she does but her eyes are too beady, her waist and hips too thick and her breasts are about three cup sizes too small to portray Sophia's accurately.
Marilyn was also hourglassy and wholesome but i like her as Norma Jean Baker better, with her kinky curly hair, red lips and 22 inch waist. Liz is untouchable and those incredible curves and violet eyes are still unrivaled. All of these women were also VERY TALENTED actresses.
You see, hourglass figure are just better and produce more skillful sex symbols then square six packs yoga freaks and silicone clones.

Elizabeth Taylor was very photogenic and could "act," despite her beauty.
Sophia Loren was a foreign beauty that intrigued with her accent.
But Marilyn Monroe (on screen) projected the most sensational sex appeal and beauty of all time. Off screen, when she was just being herself, she wasn't that appealing. Guess it's true....... the camera loved her.
