the reason why we have Christmas trees is because in England when they were trying to bring forth a unified christian religion they combined several. the Christmas trees come from the druid religion in which they worship tree gods. we also get "knock on wood" from them lol they would knock on the tree so the tree god would come out

anyway i like the real tree mostly because of the smell...but it is very messy. you can buy a plug in that smells the same and just use a fake tree as well. the "green" thing to do to be environmentally conscience would be plastic i think...

I put it up because I like the color lights and the gifts below. It's just pretty to me. It only has a spiritual significance because it's part of Christmas and a small way to honor the Messiah, even though I don't know when His birth as Jesus occurred.

BTW, it's a plastic tree. I try to have a reverence for all forms of God, like trees, and not kill them.

It represents life renewal. It is a symbol in the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth in the christian religion. This custom originated in Europe and then spread around the world. I think this custom is beautiful; it means peace, love and eternal life for those who believe.

Hello Jayasri devi dasi,
I am not a traditionalist, I am realistic.
For any thing I want definition.
What do you mean by spiritual?
Since you are physical, may I know how you define to be physical?
I don't want people to be Christians but realistic.
