i have a sony laptop , recently it has been slowing up and it randomly starts playing a LA radio station at random times for like 2 min then it stops and im in NY btw. i downloaded nortons internet security and run a scan about everyday and it doesnt detect any viruses or anything. can someone help me or tell me whats going on ;)

Try to disable the system restore and do the full scan with most updated version.

(Please see the technical support section in http://www.symantec.com)

If still not find anything, try to do a scanning with kaspersky. You can conduct a free on-line scanning via http://www.kaspersky.com

If still no finding, you may need to re-install the OS, just take it back to Sony for repair. They should be able to do it for you with free of charge.

I don't think it is a virus or spyware although it randomly starts playing a radio station

must be because you have a lot of programes that makes your computer slow uninstall the programs you dont like or unusefull
