i barely started liking Nirvana's music, and i just heard the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on VH1's Top 100 Songs of the 90's
and they mentioned that the lead singer Kurt Cobain died.
how did he die? i was reading other questions similar to this here but there was different answers like
1. suicide
2.drug overdose
3.shot himself in the head with a shotgun
4.tried to swallow a shot gun while still high off of heroin (wtf?)
and well just trying to know the correct information here..

Official records say he shot himself in the head with a shotgun while an unusually high amount of drugs was in his system. I think it was Courtney Love's doing. I don't think she was the one who actually pulled the trigger, but I think she got someone to do it for her. I'm not really a big fan of conspiracy theories but handwriting experts have looked at the alleged suicide note and noticed that the last part seems to be added by a different person. I think, as others do, that the letter was actually his declaration of leaving the music industry. He was sick of the unwanted attention and decided he no longer felt passionate about his career. With the last part of the letter added on afterwards, it was made to look like a suicide note. Also, experts have said that with the amount of drugs in his system, he would have been dead before he could shoot himself in the head. Shooting himself in the head, he would be dead before he could overdose on drugs. So either he had superpowers and was able to exceed normal human capabilites or Courtney Love was looking to inherit the wealth Kurt Cobain would leave behind if he were dead.

On April 8, 1994, Cobain was discovered in the spare room above the garage at his Lake Washington home by Veca Electric employee Gary Smith. Smith arrived at the house that morning to install security lighting and saw him lying inside. Apart from a minor amount of blood coming out of Cobain's ear, Smith reported seeing no visible signs of trauma, and initially believed that Cobain was asleep. Smith found what he thought might be a suicide note with a pen stuck through it beneath an overturned flowerpot. A shotgun, purchased for Cobain by Dylan Carlson, was found at Cobain's side. Cobain's death certificate concluded Cobain's death was a result of a "self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head." The report estimates Cobain to have died on April 5, 1994.

according to her wife, courtney love, cobain was suicidal. infact, Love read portions of Cobain's suicide note to the crowd and broke down, crying and chastizing Cobain during his wake..

some say it was suicide others say murder
the amount of heroin in his body at the time he died was 3 times the lethal dose he would of died straight away and wouldnt have been able to pick up the shot gun. when they found his body there were no fingerprints on the gun and the blood was on the wrong side of his body, and the shotgun was too long for him to be able to shoot himself in the head. theres a lot of evidence for murder, but it was immediatly ruled as a suicide without much investigation. after cobain died a man confessed that courtney love had offered him $50,000 to kill him, but he turned down the offer, the same man was found dead a week later. you should really research it its pretty interesting, i believe he was murdered

Well.
theres much discussion on the subject of how he died..turns out.. he did overdose BUT he was also shot in the right temple but he was also left handed. so you try aiming your left hand to your right temple an be trying to shoot with a massive huge thing( shot gun) thru it... its hard!
so you can see how this was fought as suicide as there was a suicide note but the last to lines weren't written by him.by his wife (Courtney love)but if you read carefully the bit he has written is a retiring note,..its the last lines that change it into a suicide ^^

He was married to Courtney Love and had a drug problem. I don't know if he was high when he shot himself, but regardless he died way to young.

If you don't know of Courtney Love you are lucky. Crazy Heroin addicted loser wife to Kurt Cobain drove him to dope himself up and blow himself away probably after he found out she had already hired a hitman.
