Or does it come through when we least demand it?

Some people work better under pressure. Usually creativeness comes from fostering it at an early age. Then its flow is easier and continuous. Originality however is somewhat hard because we tend to duplicate(if you will) what we have already seen. Most people who tend to resist conforming at an early age are the ones to look to for originality. Sometimes when we are given enough time or if we take our minds off a thing and watch t.v.,go to a game etc will the ideas flow.

Every child looks at/experiences originality which includes the experience of learning information. Its(the child's) creativity then exerts itself by how that child's mind puts the information and memory together. The result may be something we've never encountered, or something we frequently encounter, , but it's new and original to that particular creator the first time. Or do you mean that you want to force someone to do something you've never encountered?

I don't think it can be forced but it can be fostered by making the surroundings a place where the imagination can run wild and thus allowing creativity to come through easily.
