no..... the red sox will get ripped off! i cant believe you're giving up a ROY candidate(elsbury), jon lester, clay buchholz, coco crisp and such just for 1 player! hes 28 yrs old! hes getting old! all for just 1 player!

As long as Ellsberry is still in a Red Sox uniform next year, the Sox will get Santana without a doubt.

I would like to think so, as long as Elsbury and Buchholtz are still wearing red sox jersey's as well. Giving up Lester, Crisp, and a few other lesser prospects would be enough for me to be satisfied, anything else is overpaying for someone the Sox dont need. I think that the Twins will give in and trade him away for the basic offer from the red sox.

I really hope so, but we don't really need him. For Santana it would mean getting a World Series Championship, something he couldn't get with the Twins or the Evil Empire

idk... the sox don't need santana. he is just an overrated player. he is going to be another money hungry pitcher. now baseball is just about money. whoever offers the most will get him and that will be the sox or yanks
