I will go with Alan Rickman as Snape also. Each of the three main characters were good casts as well. Maggie Smith is perfect as Prof McGon. The one I do not like however is the actor now playing Dumbledore. He just doesn't seem to fit to me.

Yes, i agree with you the new actors for the story are a bit harsh and goofy but isn't change a good thing. I'm a huge fan of the Harry potter books and movies. I really appreciate how they are not cutting to much of the story! ( Indicating the directors! ) I really miss the old Dumbledore who was so kind and yet a powerful wizard! But since his death after the second movie the directors would have had a problem! Moody as in the book was goofy in the movie, but remember that he reveal the truth about being Barty Crouch's son. Dumledore has shrunk over the summer hasn't he? Too bad!! Any way i hope this helps.

Alan Rickman as Prof. Snape is a really good choice.

Emma Thompson as Prof. Trelawney is not such a good choice, or else she reads more eccentricity in the part than I care to contemplate.

Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid is a good choice.

I had mixed feelings about all three of the central students - but I think they've all grown into their roles very nicely.

Maggie Smith makes a great Prof. McGonagle.

The ghostly "Moaning Myrtle" is miscast, I think. The actress playing that role is too old for a character who died as a child, and not a 5th-year or higher student, at that.

Jason Isaacs as Mr. Malfoy was a good choice.

The kid who plays student "Seamus" is an uncured ham.

BEST
Robbie Coltraine = Hagrid
Alan Rickman = Snape
Jason Isaacs = Lucious Malfoy
Helena Bohnam Carter = Bellatrix LeStrange
Stanislav Ianevski = Viktor Krum
Katie Leung = Cho Chang
Ralph Fiennes = Voldemort
Evanna Lynch = Luna Lovegood
David Thewlis = Remus Lupin

WORST
Clémence Poésy = Fleur Delacour ( I thought she should have been much more breathtaking...sorry)

All the actors from Harry Potter are phenomenal, and I'm not even a huge Harry Potter fan to say that!!! I think Hermoine and Ron did their characters serious justice. The cast was phenomenal and there's not one I would change about the movies....

I think the orginal Albus Dumbledore was amazing, I don't like Richard too much (the new Dumbledore.)

I also really liked Emma Watson because she was exactly what the book described, until they made her all cute.

And Rupert Grint is really good at playing Ron.

I think Daniel Radcliffe is amazing at playing Harry, but I think some of that might be because I grew up with him being Harry Potter.

Alan Rickman as Snape and Ralph Fiennes as Voldemont
I remember when I heard Ralph Finnes was going to play Voldemont I jumped for joy.
I didn't really like the choice for Tonks.

They were all great except for Fleur Delacour and Madame Giant Lady whoes name excapes me as of now.... lol

Fleur should have need MUCH more beautiful than that THING they cast lol

and The Giant Lady Hagrid likes I expected to be much prettier and heavier, not a stick thin Gremlin...

Emma Watson probably is best in her role. She is pretty, has a smart-alicness about her and looks like I imagined she would.

The worst might be Snape, although I've warmed up to him since the worst movie his voice is very monotonious and I envisioned Snape looking more santanic than that.
