ok i got a 2003 Monte Carlo SS the rear defogger stopped working. 1st i replaced the relay and nothing, 2nd i replaced the climate control module (that has the fan speeds and rear defogger button) and still nothing...any idea's? I even tried disconnecting the wires on the rear window and reconnecting them

Test for power and ground at the defogger grid connections and work back through the circuit from there if necessary...could be a blown fuse or bad ground. Eautorepair.net has wiring diagrams...small fee.

not likely, but is it possible that someone used an icescraper to help clear rear window and scratched one of the wires? or possibly a break in one of the wires?

Most common thing is tear on the grid. You can buy a special product to repair it. It is basicly a conductive paint. I have some and it works great.
