Someone I know stated that Food Network makes their stars sign a contract stating they can only weigh so much.

Emeril was fired at the end of November. When Good Eats moved to the coveted 8pm slot and ratings jumped 13 percent, the Scripps people realized that many viewers had tired of the theatrics and let him go.
Back in September, the network announced they would not be renewing the contracts on Mario's two programs. Mario responded by walking ... including leaving Iron Chef. I guess that is why they recruited a new Iron Chef.

I think that Emeril had one of the most popular shows, I did hear that they weren't going to do Emeril Live at the 7:00 time anymore, I don't know when it was moving to or what was supposed to happen to it, never heard that either of them were fired... I don't think Rachel Ray is overweight... Paula Deen would be but no matter what I agree, unless it is in your contract, that would be discrimination... the only one I don't see much of on prime time is Mario Batale... I'm a food network junkie

I think it was that their contract was up and they were too busy with their own restaurants to keep up a grueling schedule of working for the Food Network as well as maintaining their own businesses.

not likely that disrmanation! and they easily could sue!! more likely they need new fresh stars.. that bring in audiences and commercial dollars remember GREEN make world go around!!
