does anyone no the virus that the lady scientist used to cure cancer is? and if u do can u tell me what it would do in real life if it were to spread world wide? Please if u r going to be rude and say it's just a movie then dont answer! I know its just a movie but i would like to know what could happen if it can at all! thank you!

Helo there...well, i am a first year medical student,.. as far as I know the disease Measles is caused by a virus in the virus family known as ParamyxoViridae. I can understand your excitement as many ppl are really interested to know how its mechanism of action can cure cancer, as wht Dr Alice claimed in the story. But cancer is merely a process whereby the there is a loss of control of cell division, causing the cells to go into crazy replication frenzy. So, any cure for cancer will have to involve control of cell division..and from here I really dont know how to link it to the measles virus mechanism?? Need to do more research. N honestly, there are many things in the movie which is just crazy...like suddenly theres Rabies involved?? Measles is not horrible like in the movie, besides its red spots and high mortality rate in children, elderly and immunocompromised THOSE days without treatment. Hope this helps??

At the begining of movie a female discovered a cure for cancer played by (Thompson) only thing it created virus, which inturn create a plague can't rememder her name, Smith was part of lab to create anti-viral injection (army) to fight the plague, using blood as he was immune to plague? all i can remember? sorry!
