i don't understand how there can be a movie as brutally honest about the holocaust as this and there's still people saying Bush is Worse then Hitler. Don't get me wrong i don't even like Bush but seriously he isn't even in the same realm as Hitler was. He's in no way, shape or form worse then Hitler. It's disgusting to me that people can think that what Bush is doing is worse then what Hitler did. What do you think?

Just thought to give some info.

Yeah I saw Schindlers List. Such a sad movie.

Anyway, I think what people mean is that Bush is like the Hitler of our time. I mean, I definitely don't agree because no one can be worse than Hitler.
Now if you think about it (and when you do, you need an open mind, ok?) Hitler killed millions of people, right? Hitler didn't personally kill them, but he sent people to do it. Now we could say the same about Bush. Bush is killing millions of people-Iraqi and U.S. Troops. Not by his hand, but he sent others to do it.
Both Hitler and Bush have sent other people to do their dirty work, and they both have killed a number of people. That could be the similarity between them.
Of course, Hitler killed a lot more people but basically what Hitler did, and what Bush is doing are a little similar. They both are killing people with no reason to do so, other than their own selfish wants.
I think because we don't know what is really going on over in the war, we don't think that it is bad; whereas movies like Schindler's list show the terrible things that happened, and we can see/watch it, so it feels more personal. We can see all the horrible things that happened in Hitlers time, but we cannot see all the horrible things happening in Bush's time.

I think the comparison is over-stated but, there is room for speculation.People didn't think Hitler was such a bad guy either...in the beginning. In fact,he was the butt of jokes until the killing began to start. No,we're in many ways a new country and we have yet to manage a Hitler, but I think the point poeple are trying to make is this,"Watch This Guy" because whether or not it was intentional,he led thiss country into a war we can't possibly win and with no exit strategy whatsoever. he doesn't like being told NO and he doeasn't like it when people disagree with him and he has a whole block of politicos who try to sanage anyone who isn't in lock-step with W or his policies both foreign and at home.To do so is to be labelled "unpatriotic" So,I ask you,as "WE THE PEOPLE" it's the government who works for us-not the other way around and it's high time we got back to acting like it.

PS Yes,I saw "Shindler's List" and it is without doubt one of the most shattering emtional experiances of my life.

First of all, I would like to say that was a sad movie. Next, to compare Bush to Hitler is asinine. As much as I hate to say it, Hitler was a natural orator and was totally focused on his goals, even though they were twisted goals. Bush, on the other hand, has no speaking skills. Just hearing him talk makes me want to sleep. One thing they both have in common is that the world would be a lot better off had neither of them existed.

You are of course right, it is easy to claim Bush is on a par with Hitler, when the facts show he is not.
The world has become a global village due to technology, which in its self is good thing, but also allows anyone with access to a computer to rant anonymously.
The problem is Bush is seen as a dictator although elected by Democratic means, he is seen a puppet for his father, which throws up conspiracy theories on everything including 9/11, which the Arab world firmly believes was an Israeli orchestrated attack, even to this day. same as the holocaust, was a fictional event. Denial is just a stage of guilt.
The Nazi's were about to overrun all of Europe including Britain, who begged the US to help save them. This is a fact, so all western democracies have been indebted to America.
Its just that world politics are more defined and people are demanding rights within their own countries but find it easier to blame the US and Bush, for the problems.
I for one will always have respect for America, who came to the aid of my fathers and spilt their blood for us, so we could live in a free democracy. Is Bush like Hitler, not even close..

I've seen Schindler's list. Even if you've never held a gun, you may be responsible for murder. Bush seems to have a better image because he isn't saying explicitly what his aims are (Hitler was open about his ideas that Jews and others were responsible for everyone's problems). But just because he isn't saying what he's responsible for, doesn't mean he's innocent. You should really read the paper more often. try the Washington post. watch CNN. don't go by what teacher tell you or by what you read in your hometown paper.

yes its true that apples are not oranges and oranges are not apples but unfortunately there are many people out there that feel that if you take away the whole Holocaust thing the Nazis weren't so bad and the Bush family may fall into that category. Before getting caught up in yes hyperbole, you might research the similarities of the early actions and beliefs of the group history calls the Nazis and a group of people who are currently referred to as Neocons.

I don't think anyone really thinks Bush is worse than Hitler. It is just rhetoric- even Dems will agree with me. Sometimes people use hyperbole to make a point- just as Clinton wasn't as bad as some Rep. would say.

I am really glad that there are people who would not allow Bush to act as bad as Hitler convinced the Germans to be allowed to act. Hitler like Bush believed that what he was doing was the best thing for the world and the German population. Both are misguided.

It is a very sad movie... and only portrays a fraction of what happened during the Holocaust.

Hitler should be compared to someone like Saddam Hussein. It is mortifying that anyone would compare our President (regardless of political party) to such an evil person. Don't people know that we live in a democracy? No matter who the president is, we are the luckiest in this world to live in this country.
