We have three children and we both work. He works day shift. 5 am until 5 pm. I work night shift 6:30 pm until 6:30 am.I work three days one week and four days the next. I have been working over time lately, usually 6 days a week. We both do house work and laundry. I do what I can get done and he picks up where I left off. He cooks on the weekends when I have to work but I do it during the week. He and our oldest do the yard work, I don't do any. I plant the flowers and weed the beds. They do the rest. When I work my normal hours I do most of the house work because I am at home more but he still does some and he always does laundry every night.

He works 3 12 hour shifts (5am to 5 pm) and then 4 12 hour shifts, alternating weeks. Plus an hours drive to and from, and always works Sat, Sun, Mon.
I work 8 to 4, 40 hours a week. We have two in college, three in HS and one in Middle School.
I've been dealing with some medical issues lately and one of the symptoms is fatigue. (I'd go to work and come home and at 4:15 I'd be out like a light, but that's better now....)
He cooks a couple nights a week, he always cleans the bathroom, does his and my laundry on his days off, (I do his and mine on my days off)....and we also make sure the kids are covered. He takes the trash out, got stuck doing all the Christmas Groceries....and we both review our budget regularly.
Not to mention that I haven't shovelled one shovel of snow that I didn't want to in the last two years since we moved in together. A lot of days he'll brush my car off, or make sure I'm not plowed in before he leaves at 4 in the morning.
I didn't run the vacuum until we'd been in our new place two months because of the fatigue. He did it.
Wish you luck, dear
Merry Christmas
and God bless you and yours.

My husband does about 30% of the work around the house--more during the summer (outside work). We have no kids. He works 40 hrs a week during the day; I don't work, but volunteer @ 20 hours per week.
I will say that whenever I need help with something, I ask and he will always help out!!

We both work first shift but usually my husband goes in early to get overtime. I have a 13 year old son. We share the housework except between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm a UPS driver so I'm really busy so he does most of the work around the house.

My husband does about 50% around the house. He works 40 hrs wk grave yard shift, I work 40 hours second shift. Occasionally he'll have a meal ready for me before I go to work. I never have to ask him to do anything around the house.. he generally just does it. We have no kids yet.

He pitches in when needed. Some cleaning, some laundry. I stay at home with our four kids and he works odd hours. Sometimes 1st shift, 2nd or 3rd or a combination of all three. I try to get everything done at home(inside and out) on my own (the kids pitch in too) but if my schedule gets hectic he's always right there with me helping out.

my husband is a gunny (E-8) in the Marine Corps, so he works a lot, average of about 5 am - 4 pm monday - friday. i work a LOT less. i'm a hairstylist with severe health problems (bulging disc in my lower back) that affect the amount of time i can stand at one time. i work 5 - 6 hours a day, 4 - 5 days a week. housework is really fairly split. hes been doing more of it lately, since my back has been acting up, to take the pressure off of me. i usually cook, because he is only really versed in charcoal grilling and hamburger helper. we don't have human kids; our child is our 4 year old english bulldog who must be hand fed nightly, have medicine put in his eyes, have his wrinkles cleaned, be walked outside on a leash for potty purposes, etc etc etc. very time consuming, and my husband takes care of 98% of dog duty.
everyone asks how i got him trained to do so much around the house, but i didn't train him. he came to me fully trained. i just had to tweak his methods a little ;)

My husband is in the army, so currently he does absolutely nothing. I am a pre-med student trying to get straight-A's, eight hours a day in school, then I come home and do absolutely everything.
Army life sucks and I hate it. I have no help at all. I am SO glad this will be over in a year, and that I don't have kids on top of all of this.

My husband works 6to5. I stay home and take care of our 17 month old son, I clean other peoples house 4 times a week though. He takes out the trash, sweeps sometimes, and washes dishes sometimes. He loves to cook so we cook together or ill let him cook every so often. My husband is great, he will help out if I need it or just does it because he loves me.
