i think she was trying to say that anyone can be beautiful in any size but offended that people thought it was ugly i dunno..
and i kinda relate as a girl if someone would say mean stuff about me i would get really defensive..
i don't think she lost weight.. i'm not really sure i just watch the show, say her outfit is cute and watch whatever topic the show's about.

She lost weight to get into shape and be healthy. It had nothing to do wth being fat and happy. It's about being healthy and happy, even if that means you weigh a little more than other people.

I heard on television they were threating to take off her show top model if she did not loose any weight so maybe that is why she lost the weight.

I think those magazies make people look fater but tyra loses weight because she is so busy with her show!

I think that like she didnt say being fat is better.
I think she just meant you should be comfortable with your wieght.
And maybe she felt the need to lose wieght because she wasnt comfortable with it.

i think you took her out of contex..
she probably meant it was better to be too fat then too thin.
too thin is more unhealthy than being too fat (to a point).
