so basically, i was just wondering which console to buy after i get some Christmas money, which one do you guys think will deliver the most fun and value.

Well, literally no one can find a Wii for sale, and they wont be avaliable in large quantity until probably January or February 2008.
So that leaves you with 2 other choices, the PS3 and 360.
I think that you should go with the PS3 without a doubt. The PS3 has more advanced technology, it's is very reliable, it has more built in features, it has the most potential out of all of the consoles, and it has more exclusives coming out in 2008 than the 360.
The 360 still has hardware issues, and it really isn't worth buying until Microsoft fixes the issue 100%. The 3 year warranty really isn't anything special because after the 3 year period is up, you'll have to pay for repairs.
The PS3 has exclusives coming in 2008 such as: Socom Confrontation, Killzone 2, Haze, LittleBigPlanet, Tekken 6, Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Online, Heavy Rain, Motorstorm 2, The Getaway 3, Final Fantasy XIII and a whole lot more.
God of War 3, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, and Resistance Fall of Man 2 will most likely come out in late 2008 or 2009. The only big Xbox 360 exclusive that's coming out next year is Halo Wars and it wont even be a FPS and Gears of War 2 wont be coming out until late 2008 or 2009, so really there's not that many exclusive blockbuster Xbox 360 games coming next year.

Well i think they are all great consoles and it basically comes down to what kind of games you want to play.
If you want to play good first person shooters or want to play on the best online system go with the Xbox 360.
If you want to play japanese games (like anime games) or role playing games go with the PS3.
If you want to play mostly fun, party like games go with the Wii.
I am hoping to get a PS3 for Christmas. Though I was in the same boat as you not long ago, good luck and have fun with what ever console you choose.

Probably the PS3. It has the best graphics and functionality. It's the first console to view Blu-ray discs as well as being able to play DVD and CD. It has a variety of games and can even access the internet. Although if you want something a bit cheaper, I suggest the Nintendo Wii.

The way I look at game systems (owning both an Xbox and PS2) I buy game systems not for what they can do or how popular they are or more recent...but what games do the stores have to offer for you to play that are targeted more towards your interests. I'd browse the games...and then make a choice. I personally love PS2 because of guitar hero, DDR, Kingdom Hearts...etc. Xbox...I love it for Dead or Alive games as well as others. I've never tried Wii though! GOOD LUCK!

Their all great systems, but I personally like the ps3 the best. Mind you I might be bias. I have 2 playstation 2's. I prefer the ps2 controller. The graphics are excellent plus blueray on the ps3.

Right now the wii and the ps3 suck as far as game selection goes. I have them both and they just sit there.
As for the 360, i've never been a fan of the 26 button controller(a simple left, right, B, A is more my style) But from the look of it, the xbox is dominating the gaming industry.
I'd go for the ps3. Just wait, the year of the ps3 is comming. As for the wii, don't hold your breath. You might suffocate.....

I have a Wii and 360 i will have to say if you like FPS and driving games go with 360 while if you wnat more variaty of games Wii is your best bet.
I dont know much about PS3.

wii. definetly. its the most interactive gaming system (and the ONLY 1), and its great for parties and for when friends come over. its fun because they make it in ways u dont really think are possible. i have one, and its the best thing ever. also, its less expensive then ps3 and xbox, and u can buy so many awesome things for your wii menu! do yourself a favor, BUY THE WII!!

if you like games such as racing or other sports with good graphics, plus a blu-ray player, then go get a PS3.
but if u want something that is more affordable, and if u want to exercise, or a fan of Super Mario then get a Wii.

for now the wii. although most people say it sucks, they say it because they dont have it and they just hear it sucks, but why do you think they're sold out. it has many features just like the others like the pictures and music, but its the only one that offer a unique play, because of the controllers and the fun games thay have and they're about to come out with. i think your a lot better off getting the wii, but whatever you get, i hope you enjoy it. merry christmas!
